Abstract:

A vibration isolator capable of reliably preventing generation of rattling or abnormal sound even if an outer sleeve member is not bonded while meeting the demands including cost reduction or weight reduction by using an outer sleeve member made of resin. The vibration isolator comprises an attaching metal fixture (1) connected to one of the sections, a vibration generating section and vibration receiving section, an outer sleeve member (2) of resin connected to the other, and a rubber elastic body (4) fixed between the attaching metal fixture (1) and an insert metal fixture (3), the insert metal fixture (3) being disposed along the inner peripheral surface of the outer sleeve member (2), the rubber elastic body (4) being attached to the outer sleeve member (2) through the insert metal fixture (3), with a cushioning material (5) interposed between the outer sleeve member (2) and the insert metal fixture (3).
