Abstract:
A vibration isolator, comprising a stopper mechanism against an excessive displacement in upper and horizontal directions of an isolation base body, wherein an inner tube (16) and a mounting member (12) having an opening part (24) surrounding the inner tube are connected to each other through a rubber−like elastic isolation base body (14), a tubular part (32) is extended downward from the opening part (24), a stopper rubber (36) is installed between the tubular part and the inner tube (16), and a clearance (38) is assured in the stopper rubber to provide a first stopper part (40) for limiting the displacement of the inner tube (16) in horizontal direction, and an extension part (46) extending outward from the bottom end of the inner tube (16) is provided, a stop rubber (48) is installed between the extension part and the bottom end of the tubular part (32), and a clearance (50) is assured to provide a second stopper part (52) for limiting the displacement of the inner tube (16) in upper direction, whereby the weight and the cost of the vibration isolator can be reduced.
