Abstract:
A small and high-sensitivity vibration pickup microphone as a microphone for
conversation under high noise, or for voice recognition input which is insensitive
to external noise or vibration. The vibration pickup microphone comprises a
case (2) having an open upper surface for containing a microphone unit (1), a cover
(3) made of elastic material for entirely covering the outer surface including
the upper end face of the case (2), a microphone holder (4) made of elastic material
arranged in the case (2) and holding the microphone unit (1) in a floating state,
the microphone unit (1) held by the microphone holder (4), and a sub-diaphragm
(5) set in the case (2) to cover the microphone holder (4), characterized in that
an air chamber (14) is formed between the sub-diaphragm (5) and the microphone
unit (1), and the upper surface of the sub-diaphragm (5) is flush with the upper
end face of the case (2) or projects slightly therefrom.
