Provided is a vibration prevention device for an automobile opening/closing element, whereby tilting of a piston body is prevented so as to allow smooth sliding thereof, and the working efficiency of attachment to an opening/closing element is enhanced. This vibration prevention device (10) comprises: a piston (20) having a flange-shaped piston body (21) and piston rods (23, 27) which protrude from both ends of the piston body; a cylinder (30) having a cylinder body (30a) for slidably accommodating the piston body (21), and cylindrical parts (32, 39) for slidably supporting the piston rods (23, 27); a retaining fixture (60) for fixing the cylinder (30) to an opening/closing element, the retaining fixture being attached to one cylindrical part (39); and a coil spring (55) for urging so that one piston rod (23) protrudes from the other cylindrical part (32) and the distal end of the piston rod comes in contact with the peripheral edge of an open part of the automobile.
