Abstract:
This vibration suppression mechanism (1) is provided with: a cylindrical member (2); a rod member (3) that slides in the inner space (20) of the cylindrical member (2); and a cable (4) that has one end connected to the rod member. The rod member (3) includes a fixed diameter portion (31) and a reduced diameter portion (32) adjacent to the fixed diameter portion (31). The reduced diameter portion (32) has a large diameter section (32a) having a diameter substantially the same as the outer diameter of the fixed diameter portion (31), and a small diameter section (32b) having a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the fixed diameter portion (31). The cylindrical member (2) is provided with a first elastic member (51) and a second elastic member (52) that each have an inner diameter capable of sliding on the fixed diameter portion (31) and the large diameter section (32a) and that each support the rod member (3) from the outer circumference. According to this configuration, sliding performance of the rod member (3) between the fixed diameter portion (31) and the reduced diameter portion (32) is not inhibited, and vibration can be suppressed by any of a plurality of the elastic members.
