Abstract:

A paper-cutting device for cutting sheets of paper stacked on a table (4). The device has a paper hold down unit (2) lowered from the above along a vertical guide and a cutter blade (3) lifted from below the table (4). In a paper hold down mechanism of the paper hold down unit (2), a first nut (8) is screwed on a rotating screw (7), and the first nut (8) and the paper hold down unit (2) are connected through a link (5). The cutter blade (3) is attached to a guide (13) in which an inclined guide groove (14) is formed. An inner slider (15) projecting from the cutter blade (3) is fitted in the guide groove (14). The inner slider (15) is engaged and connected to a vertical groove (25) formed in a moving element (20) that is connected to a second nut (19) screwed on a rotating second screw (16). The rotation speed of the second screw (16) is varied by eccentric gears (23a, 23b).
