Abstract:
A video transmission/reception apparatus comprises: a reception unit that receives a video content; a conversion unit that performs a predetermined conversion of a video signal included in the video content; an information addition unit that adds a complement signal to the video signal as converted by the conversion unit; an input/output unit that receives information of an external device and outputs the video signal; and a control unit. Upon reception of the device information of the external device, which is an output destination, from the input/output unit, the control unit performs a control to select, in accordance with the device information, and output the video signal as before the conversion performed by the conversion unit, the video signal as converted by the conversion unit, or the video signal to which the complement signal has been added by the information addition unit.
