Abstract:

Provided are a video display device and an activation method thereof whereby activation according to a user's preferences is possible. According to an embodiment, a video display device comprises a first control means and a first storage means. The first control means associates buttons other than the power button which are disposed upon a remote control unit with activation modes of the video display device which are set by the user. The first storage means saves information which is associated with the first control means.
