This video display device is provided with: a sightline detection unit that detects the position of a sightline; a video composite unit that receives right and left video signals as input signals, and creates a composite video signal from the right and left video signals while taking into consideration the position of the sightline and the depth of an object; and a video display unit that displays the composite video signal.
