Abstract:

A portable video display device 1 is provided with: a sensor 50 for detecting the position and orientation of a user 2; a trajectory information acquisition unit for acquiring information of the user's migration trajectory; a storage unit 40 for storing the user's trajectory information and information regarding an avatar; and a display unit 72 for displaying the user's migration trajectory using the avatar. The control unit generates an avatar 3, determines the user's current visual field area using the sensor, and, on the basis of the user's trajectory information stored in the storage unit, displays the avatar 3 on the display unit 72 so as to be disposed on the migration trajectory of the user in accordance with the user's current visual field area. When moving the avatar 3 along the user's migration trajectory, the avatar 3 is moved from temporally new trajectory information toward old trajectory information.
