Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is, with a video display system which is formed from a pen and a projection video display device which has an interactive function, to allow more flexible and lower-cost switching of attributes of rendered lines or figures such as colors or thicknesses. According to a representative embodiment, a pen-shaped pointer comprises a light-emitting unit which emits invisible light of a prescribed wavelength, and a projection video display device comprises an interactive function unit which recognizes the position and content of a light emission pattern which is illuminated upon the screen by the pointer, from video data which is captured by a sensor which photographs reflected light of the invisible light including the prescribed wavelength upon a screen, and executes different processes on the basis of the recognized position and content of the light emission pattern.
