Abstract:
This video editing device comprises: a video storage unit that stores a plurality of unedited source videos which were obtained by filming one event with a plurality of imaging devices and which were used in the creation of a video work relating to the event; and a video editing unit that uses the plurality of source videos to create an edited video relating to the event, corresponding to a user request. For each of the plurality of source videos stored in the video storage unit, the video editing unit adds meta data to each scene so as to make the contents appearing therein understandable. When an editing criterium is input from the outside, the video editing unit calculates, on the basis of the meta data, the degree of matching between the editing criterium and the plurality of source videos, and creates an edited video by using a number of source videos extracted according to the degree of matching.
