Abstract:
A video encoding device (AA) for digital video in which a video signal is expressed in the format of a spatially and temporally sampled pixel value space is provided with a nonlinear video decomposition unit (10), a structure component encoding unit (20), and a perturbation component encoding unit (30). The nonlinear video analysis unit (10) decomposes an input video (a) into a structure component and a perturbation component. The structure component encoding unit (20) performs compression encoding processing on the structure component of the input video (a) decomposed by the nonlinear video decomposition unit (10). The perturbation component encoding unit (30) performs compression encoding processing on the perturbation component of the input video (a) decomposed by the nonlinear video decomposition unit (10). Encoding performance is thereby enhanced.
