Abstract:
In the present invention, a conversion matrix is set that converts a position in an image to be encoded, which is one frame of a multi-perspective video, to a position on a reference perspective image of a perspective differing from that of the image to be encoded, on the basis of a representative depth set from a depth map of a subject in the multi-perspective video. A representative position is set in a region to be encoded resulting from splitting the image to be encoded, and using the representative position and the conversion matrix, a corresponding position in the reference perspective image with respect to the representative position is set. On the basis of the corresponding position, combined movement information is generated in the region to be encoded from movement information of the reference perspective image, and a prediction image with respect to the region to be encoded is generated using the combined movement information.
