Abstract:
A method for encoding a video according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided, wherein the method comprises the steps of: determining one or more sample values that are related to a first block on the basis of sample values of already-restored reference samples; determining one or more patterns with respect to the form in which samples of the first block are arranged; generating one or more candidate prediction blocks with respect to the first block on the basis of the one or more sample values and the one or more patterns; and determining prediction values of the samples of the first block on the basis of one of the one or more candidate prediction blocks.
