Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to improve compression efficiency of an image by determining a differential quantization parameter of a current block on the basis of statistical information of original samples of the current block or samples restored prior to the current block. An image decoding method comprises: receiving a bitstream; acquiring a quantization parameter prediction value, and a quantized transform coefficient of a current block from the bitstream; acquiring a differential quantization parameter of the current block on the basis of statistical information of samples restored prior to the current block; acquiring a quantization parameter of the current block on the basis of the differential quantization parameter of the current block and the quantization parameter prediction value; and dequantizing the quantized transform coefficient of the current block on the basis of the quantization parameter of the current block.
