Abstract:
[Problem]
To efficiently generate a high-quality combined image with little visual discomfort.
[Solution]
A combined video image generation unit arranges a virtual camera in a three-dimensional virtual space on the basis of the position and orientation of a marine moving body, arranges, as a three-dimensional virtual reality object, at least a portion of added display information in the three-dimensional virtual space and also arranges a virtual projection screen, creates a mesh that is distorted in the opposite direction to the lens distortion generated in a captured video image of the marine moving body, said mesh dividing the projection screen; converts vertices of the virtual reality object and vertices of the mesh into positions on a two-dimensional virtual screen, which is a perspective projection surface, by means of a vertex shader and on the basis of the position and orientation of the virtual camera, and arranges the video image pieces of the captured video image after the division on the corresponding mesh by means of a pixel shader and on the basis of the positions of the converted vertices, thereby generating a combined image in which a figure in which the virtual reality object is drawn is combined with the captured image.
