Abstract:
Provided is a video image projection device that is mounted to a vehicle, and with which it is possible to more effectively utilize information, including the acquisition of road status information and the detection of hidden vehicles. This video image projecting device is for projecting video images, and is equipped with an acquisition unit for acquiring information pertaining to a vehicle, a video image projection unit that projects video information on the basis of information acquired by the acquisition unit, and an image-capturing means that captures video images outside the vehicle. Moreover, the image projection unit irradiates light having a frequency band that centers on a wavelength of 1.4μm, and the image-capturing means captures video images captured on the basis of said light having a frequency band centering on a wavelength of 1.4μm, thereby providing information pertaining to the vehicle.
