The present invention relates to a video map engine system, comprising a configuration management client used for configuring and saving video device parameters, a video device used for capturing real-time video, a video access server, an augmented reality processor, and an augmented reality client. Video device parameters comprise P, T and Z values of the video device relative to a target location; the augmented reality client calculates the position of an augmented reality tag in a real-time video according to the P, T and Z values and a target location of an augmented reality tag generated by the augmented reality processor such that the augmented reality tag is presented at a corresponding location in the real-time video, thus a real-time video may be used as a base map, and a video map effect of an augmented reality tag is presented at a target location on the base map.
