Abstract:
This video output device, which outputs a peripheral video (70) of the surroundings of a vehicle (A) to a display device (30), is provided with: an image acquisition unit (51) which acquires a captured image (71) of the surroundings of the vehicle; a detection information acquisition unit (53) which acquires detection information on surrounding objects; a certainty factor determination unit (61) which determines a certainty factor in detection of the object; a position calculation unit (62) which calculates the positions of the objects in the captured image; an overlap determination unit (63) which determines an overlap between the objects in the captured image; and an image processing unit (40) that sets an image transmission area in at least a part of an area in which a first object (S1) disposed at a front side, among a plurality of objects determined to overlap in the captured image, is photographed, that generates the video in which a second object (V1) existing at an inner side of the first object can be checked, and that changes, to a higher level, a transmittance which is specified in the image transmission area, as the certainty factor in detection of the second object becomes higher.
