Abstract:
Disclosed is a video playback method which, when applied to a terminal, comprises: when playing back a target video, receiving index information that is sent from a server and that corresponds to the target video; when playing back a first video frame of the current time period, determining, according to the index information, a download address of a second video frame that matches with a first time period; and downloading the second video frame at a first time according to the download address. When applied to a server, the method comprises: acquiring focal point description information of a target video; encapsulating the focal point description information into index information of the target video; and sending the index information to a terminal.
