Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a video playing method and apparatus and an electronic device, which can help a user browse or view information provided by other application programs when a video is played. The present application relates to the technical field of video playing. The video playing method comprises: detecting whether a video playing program plays a video in a current screen of a mobile terminal; if it is detected that the video playing program plays the video in the current screen of the mobile terminal, prompting to enter a screen-splitting task mode; receiving a selection instruction for the screen-splitting task mode; and placing an interface of the video playing program in a local region of the screen of the mobile terminal, so that an interface of another application program can be displayed in the remaining region of the screen of the mobile terminal. A module for implementing the method is disposed in the apparatus and the electronic device. The present application is suitable for browsing other information when a video is played.
