Abstract:
Provided are a video playing method and device. The method comprises: when receiving a first patch, sent by a video server, of any video, a video client playing the first patch; when finishing the playing of the first patch, and receiving identifiers corresponding to M selectable second patches displaying the video and sent by the video server, and at a pre-set time, displaying the identifiers corresponding to the M selectable second patches, and counting down until the pre-set time is reached; within the pre-set time, if an identifier selected by a user is received, sending the identifier selected by the user to the video server; and when a second patch sent by the video server according to the identifier selected by the user is received, playing the second patch.
