Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a video processing device, a video processing method, a program, and a remote communication system which make it possible to provide better user experience. A region dividing unit divides a video of another site into a plurality of regions. An estimation unit performs video analysis with respect to the whole of the video of the other site and to each region of the video of the other site, and estimates an illumination environment at the time when the video of the other site was captured. A color correction unit corrects the color of the video of the other site having a light source color corresponding to the illumination environment, in accordance with the light source color of a host site. The present technique may be applied, for example, in a remote communication system which utilizes a video transmitted and received between the other site and the host site.
