Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a video processing method, video playback method, set-top box, and VR apparatus. The video processing method comprises: parsing received video data to obtain a frame image; receiving information provided by a VR apparatus, wherein the information is used to compute a field of view during use of the VR apparatus; extracting, according to the information and from the image, an image within the field of view; and sending to the VR apparatus the image within the field of view. The above solution solves the problem of the related art in which choppy playback is caused by an excessive amount of data to be transmitted when a VR apparatus is playing a video, and therefore achieves the technical effect of improving video playback smoothness of the VR apparatus.
