Abstract:
Provided are a video recommendation method and system, a terminal, and a server. The method comprises: receiving a video cover image selection message transmitted by a terminal (1001), wherein the video cover image selection message carries an identifier of a target video cover image selected by a user; extracting, from the video cover image selection message, the identifier of the target video cover image (1002); and acquiring, from an image database, a candidate video cover image matching the identifier of the target video cover image, and transmitting the candidate video cover image to the terminal (1003). The method can realize recommendation of a video to a user according to a video cover image in a convenient and quick manner. For example, a recommendation of another video similar to a video work is made to a user according to a cover image of the video work, thereby providing the user with a wide range of options, and enhancing user experience.
