Abstract:
A 360-degree image data generation method, according to the present invention, may comprise the steps of: determining a projective transformation method for a 360-degree image; on the basis of the projective transformation method, acquiring a 360-degree projected image having the 360-degree image projected on a 2D plane; frame packing the 360-degree projected image; and encoding the frame-packed 360-degree projected image. Here, the step for frame packing may comprise the steps of: partitioning the 360-degree image into extreme regions and a central region; and transforming the extreme regions into predefined forms.
