Abstract:
This video system includes a head mounted display that is used by being mounted on the head of a user, and a video generating device that generates a video to be presented to the user by the head mounted display. In the head mounted display, a video presenting unit presents a video to a user. An image capture unit captures an image including the eyes of the user. A first communication unit transmits the captured image to the video generating device and receives a video from the video generating device. In the video generating device, a second communication unit receives the captured image from the head mounted display and transmits a video to the head mounted display. A gazing point acquiring unit acquires a user's gazing point on the video on the basis of the captured image. A calculating unit sets, on the basis of the acquired gazing point, a predetermined region in which the gazing point is set as a reference, and generates, for the outside of the predetermined region, a video having a data amount, per unit number of pixels, smaller than that of a video calculated for the predetermined region.
