Abstract:
A video transmission apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention comprises a transmission unit. When the transmission unit transmits, via a communication interface having first, second and third transmission channels, video data having a 4 : 1 : 1 format in which the ratio in sampling frequency of a brightness component, a first color difference component and a second color difference component is 4 : 1 : 1, the transmission unit allocates the first and second color difference components to two clocks of the first transmission channel, thereby transmitting the first and second color difference components, and also allocates the brightness component of totally four pixels to two clocks of the second and third transmission channels, thereby transmitting the brightness component of totally four pixels to a video display apparatus that is to display the video data.
