Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a PVA film whereby an optical film having excellent optical characteristics, hue, and durability can easily be manufactured, and to provide a method for manufacturing an optical film using the PVA film. [Solution] A PVA film in which the ratio of the sum of the crystal component amount (ａ1) and the restricted amorphous component amount (ａ2) with respect to the sum of the crystal component amount (ａ1), the restricted amorphous component amount (ａ2), and the amorphous component amount (ａ3) is 10-32% when the crystal component amount (ａ1), the restricted amorphous component amount (ａ2), and the amorphous component amount (ａ3) are calculated from the spin-spin relaxation time (T)2 obtained by pulse NMR measurement (observed nucleus: 1H) after one hour of treatment at 60°C; and a method for manufacturing an optical film using the PVA film, the method having a uniaxial drawing step.
