Abstract:
Provided are vinylidene (α-diimine) nickel olefin catalyst, a preparation for same, and applications thereof. Steps for synthesis comprise: acenaphthene undergoes a double acylation reaction to produce compound C1; a bromination reaction is performed on compound C1 and N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) to produce C2; an elimination reaction is performed on compound C2 to produce C3; a ketoamine condensation reaction is performed on compound C3 with a symmetrical aniline to produce α-diimine ligands C4-C8; and under anhydrous and anaerobic conditions, α-diimine ligands C4-C8 are compounded with glycol dimethyl ether nickel dibromide to produce the final product. The catalyst has increased activity and improved thermal stability and allows high activity in catalyzing ethylene at 60 °C or more to produce a high molecular weight hyperbranched polyethylene. Under identical polymerization conditions, the polymerization of ethylene can be catalyzed to produce branched polyethylene of a higher molecular weight, thus satisfying more application demands. Raw materials for the preparation are inexpensive, reaction rate is high, and industrial production can be implemented.
