Abstract:
The present invention provides a virtual machine migration method and a data center. The method comprises: a control node acquiring a virtual machine migration message, and then performing first network configuration on a virtual switch of a new virtual machine; and after performing the first network configuration, the control node creating the new virtual machine, and performing second network configuration on a second virtual switch in a virtual network where a virtual machine to be migrated is located. The present invention, prior to creating a new virtual machine, maintains a network connection of a virtual machine to be migrated, and completes part of the network configuration of the new virtual machine, thereby shortening the duration of the network outage during virtual machine migration, and improving the service stability of a data center.
