Abstract:
A virtual machine (VM) migrating method, applied to an EVPN. The EVPN comprises a first leaf node, a second leaf node, and a VM. The method comprises: a second leaf node determines that a VM is migrated from a first leaf node to the second leaf node; the second leaf node generates a local routing table entries, the local routing table entries comprising a first destination IP address and a next hop identifier, wherein the first destination IP address is the IP address of the VM, and the next hop identifier is used for indicating the second leaf node; the second leaf node receives a virtual extended local area network (VXLAN) packet, wherein the VXLAN packet comprises a first packet, and the destination of the first packet is the VM; and the second leaf node forwards the first packet to the VM according to the local routing table entries. The present method can solve the problem of temporary routing loops by generating temporary local routes.
