Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a virtual reality video transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving the current perspective coordinate information of a user; determining a target pre-segmented field of view from among a plurality of pre-segmented fields of view according to the current perspective coordinate information; and sending a frame image of the target pre-segmented field of view. In the embodiments of the present application, a panoramic image of a video stream is segmented into a plurality of preset fields of view, and then a frame image of a target preset field of view, which needs to be sent to a user, is determined according to the current perspective coordinate information of the user. In this way, frame images can be obtained by means of encoding only according to preset fields of view, and the frame images are sent to different terminals according to the preset fields of view, thereby reducing limitations on the concurrency capability of a server; moreover, the encoding efficiency and compression rate for a video stream are increased as a result of the continuity and large block features of the preset fields of view.
