Title:
VISCOUS WATER-BASED COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/152491
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a water-based composition containing: (A) fine cellulose fibers having a number-average fiber diameter of 0.5-200 nm and a carboxy group content of 0.1 mmol/g or higher, said carboxy groups forming a salt with an alkali metal; and (B) an additive that contains one or more compounds having carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms, the ratio thereof (number of carbon atoms/number of nitrogen atoms) per molecule of the compound being 3-45. The component (A) content is 0.2-10 mass%, the component (B) content is 3-150 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of component (A), and the viscosity of the composition at 80°C at a rotary speed of 30 rpm is 80 mPa⋅s or higher. The fine cellulose fiber-salt composite material of the present invention maintains high viscosity even at high temperatures, and can therefore be suitably used for various industrial applications as typified by a thickener during gas and/or oil drilling, cosmetic applications, and other applications that require product stability at high temperatures.
