Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a tungsten oxide photocatalyst which has high visible light transmittance.
[Solution] Photocatalyst nanoparticles according to the present invention are in the form of a highly transparent dispersion liquid of an oxygen-deficient tungsten oxide or a hydrated tungsten oxide of tungsten dioxide or tungsten trioxide represented by chemical formula WOn·(H2O)m (wherein 1.5 < n < 3.0 and 0.5 < m < 7.0), said tungsten oxide being a novel compound, and have an average particle diameter of 50 nm or less. In cases where the tungsten oxide is applied to a glass plate, the visible light transmittance at 380 nm to 780 nm is more than 80%.
