Abstract:
A visual aid comprising a casing forming an inverted U-shaped optical path, an input window for receiving light at one end of the optical path, an output window for outputting light at the other end of optical path in a direction opposite to the input window, an optical system capable of processing an image input via the input window, for outputting via the output window by using the optical path, and a means of attaching the casing to a wearer so that the output window is positioned near the wearer's eye. An inverted U-shaped optical path formed by the casing can ensure an optical path with a sufficient distance despite its compactness. Accordingly, an easy-to-use visual aid is provided that ensures an optical path long enough to permit the installation of a magnifying optical system, with a horizontal distance between the input window and the output window kept minimum and a face expression kept exposed.
