Abstract:
This visual recognition device for vehicle surroundings, for enabling visual recognition of the surroundings of a vehicle compartment, is provided with a first concave lens for transmitting light arriving from the rear direction of the surroundings of a vehicle compartment, a first convex lens which is visible to a driver from within the vehicle compartment, a reflecting mirror for rearward visual recognition disposed partway in a first path from the first concave lens to the first convex lens, a second concave lens for transmitting light arriving from below in a direction other than the rear direction of the surroundings of a vehicle compartment, a second convex lens which is visible to the driver from within the vehicle compartment, and a reflecting mirror for downward visual recognition disposed partway in a second path from the second concave lens to the second convex lens. The reflecting mirror for rearward visual recognition and the reflecting mirror for downward visual recognition are disposed in a single space in a state in which the first path and the second path are not partitioned.
