Abstract:

The present application relates to the field of network technologies, and provides a VNF life cycle management method and apparatus. The present application introduces an advanced notice and the interactive process of an advanced notice response in the VNF life cycle management process, sends the advanced notice to the VNF, and controls the VNF life cycle to proceed to the target phase after receiving the advanced notice response of the VNF, the VNF is reminded to proceed to the target phase of the life cycle in advance, so that the VNF can execute the preprocessing process in advance according to the advanced notice, thereby improving the service processing efficiency. Moreover, the case of call loss caused by temporary service smoothing after the VNF proceeds to the target phase of the life cycle is avoided, so as to implement the service lossless effect.
