Abstract:
Disclosed is a voice coil motor for driving a correction lens, comprising a magnet unit having a pair of yokes forming a magnetic gap and at least one permanent magnet, and a coil arranged in the magnetic gap, so that when the coil is supplied with electricity to linearly move the magnet unit and the coil relative to each other, the correction lens is moved. The permanent magnet is provided, on its surface opposed to the magnetic gap, with different magnetic poles adjacent to each other along the movement direction. The width of the permanent magnet in the movement direction is twice the width (Wm) of one magnetic pole. The width (Wa) of the coil in the movement direction is smaller than the width (2Wm) of the permanent magnet. The effective conductor width (Wb) of the coil, the magnetic pole width (Wm) of the permanent magnet, and the longest displacement (St) of the correction lens satisfies
Wm = (Wb + St) x k (k is a constant which satisfies 1 < k ≤ 1.5).
