Abstract:
Provided are a voice output device, a head-mounted display, and a voice output method and a program which are capable of improving the realism of an augmented reality space or mixed reality space. According to the present invention, an AR space image generation unit (116) generates an image of an augmented reality space or mixed reality space displayed on a display unit of the head-mounted display, the image including a portion occupied by an image of a virtual reality space and a portion occupied by an image of an actual space imaged by a camera for imaging the surroundings of a user. A synthetic voice generation unit (108) synthesizes a voice of the virtual reality space and a voice of the actual space around the user to generate a synthetic voice. A synthetic voice transmission unit (110) outputs a synthetic voice emitted from a speaker disposed near an ear of the user.
