Abstract:
Provided is a voice recognition system capable of, while suppressing negative influences from sound not to be recognized, correctly estimating utterance sections that are to be recognized. A voice discriminating means (81) calculates voice feature quantities on the basis of time-series input sound, and discriminates voice sections or non-voice sections from the other sections by comparing the voice feature quantities with a threshold value, which has been determined to be a value on the basis of which sections of input sound are categorized. Then, the voice discriminating means (81) determines, to be first voice sections, those discriminated sections or sections obtained by adding a margin of a designated length to the front and rear of each of those discriminated sections. On the basis of voice likelihoods and non-voice likelihoods calculated on the basis of the voice feature quantities, a search means (82) determines, to be second voice sections, sections to which voice recognition is to be applied. A parameter updating means (83) updates at least any one of the threshold value and the margin in accordance with differences between the lengths of the respective first voice sections and the lengths of the corresponding second voice sections. The voice discriminating means (81) determines the first voice sections by using the one of the threshold value and the margin which has been updated by the parameter updating means (83).
