Abstract:
Provided is a volatile liquid which, when a piece of the stem of rattan is used as a volatilization member therefor, can make the surface of the rattan stem piece assume a wood-grain pattern.
A compound represented by general formula (1), e.g., 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol, is incorporated into a volatile liquid which is to be volatilized by means of a volatilization member constituted of a piece of the stem of rattan.
