Title:
VOLCANO MONITORING SYSTEM AND VOLCANO MONITORING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/194577
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to the monitoring of a volcano using muography and detects fluctuations in muography data due to changes in the state of the edifice of the volcano. A detector (11) is configured so as to be able to detect muons which have passed through the edifice of a volcano subject to monitoring. A control unit (13) controls the muon detection orientation-direction of the detector (11). An inclinometer (12) detects the state of the edifice of the volcano subject to monitoring, and outputs the detection results. An analysis unit (14) acquires muongraphy data on the basis of the flux of the muons detected by the detector (11), the orientation direction of the detector (11) when muon flux was detected, and the detection results of the inclinometer (12).
