Abstract:
A voltage compensation device according to an embodiment is provided with: a power converter which includes first to fourth diodes and first to fourth switching elements in a bridge connection; first and second transformers each of which including a primary winding connected in series with a power line, and a secondary winding connected to first and second alternating-current terminals of the power converter; and a control unit which outputs a control signal when a current value of the power line is not less than a threshold value. The control unit, on the basis of the control signal, electrically connects the first and third switching elements to each other, or electrically disconnects the second and fourth switching elements from each other.
