Abstract:
A voltage controlled oscillator circuit wherein a voltage/current converting circuit (310), which generates an input voltage converted current in accordance with an input voltage, is cascaded with a current controlled oscillator circuit (120) the oscillation frequency of which varies in accordance with the input voltage converted current. The voltage/current converting circuit (310) includes a first current source for outputting a current proportional to the input voltage and also includes a plurality of second current sources each for outputting a current proportional to a shifted version of the input voltage. A current, which is obtained by adding the current outputted by the first current source to the currents outputted by the plurality of second current sources, is outputted, as the input voltage converted current to the current controlled oscillator circuit (120).
