Abstract:
The present technology provides a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) for compensating for temperature on the basis of phase injection. According to a particular implementation example of the present technology, the phase of resonance frequency of an LC tank is analyzed according to temperature change so that a temperature null point is derived, the resonance point of the resonance frequency of the LC tank can be moved to the phase of the derived temperature null point so that, in comparison to a conventional phase-locked loop scheme, an open-loop scheme using a plurality of BJTs and a plurality of MOS transistors, and the like, a change in oscillation frequency of the VCO can be simply compensated for according to temperature change through phase injection, and system design complexity is also reduced such that integration and applicability to lightweight devices are possible, and versatility therefor can be improved.
