Title:
VOLTAGE STABILITY-MONITORING DEVICE AND METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/163121
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to accurately monitor the deterioration of present or future voltage stability by causing a bus line over which present or future voltage stability deterioration occurs to be dynamically modified in a calculation for monitoring the stability of an electrical grid. Thus, the present invention is a voltage stability-monitoring device for monitoring the voltage stability of an electrical grid, wherein: a plurality of imagined change scenarios representing scenarios of change that are imagined are created on the basis of the change in power flow status and/or the grid configuration of the electrical grid; the voltage stability is calculated using the imagined change scenarios; a voltage stability allowance representing the degree of allowance for the voltage stability is calculated on the basis of the voltage stability; imagined change scenarios that have a high-severity level of voltage stability for their individual imagined change scenarios are selected on the basis of the voltage stability allowance; and a calculation is made, on the basis of the selected imagined change scenario, as to whether any bus lines of the electrical grid are vulnerable bus lines that will precipitate a decline in voltage stability, whereby monitoring targets for voltage stability are modified on the basis of information on the vulnerable bus lines.
