Abstract:
Provided is a vortex pump provided with a disc-shaped impeller (2) in which blade grooves (20) radially arranged are formed on outer peripheries on both surfaces thereof, and a casing (1) having a vortex chamber (13) that surrounds an outer circumferential portion of the impeller (2). The vortex pump is further provided with a drive unit that causes the impeller (2) to rotate in the casing (1), and the blade grooves (20) of the impeller (2) that rotates sends liquid from the vortex chamber (13) of the casing (1). The casing (1) is provided with liner portions (14) that face the both surfaces of the impeller (2), the liner portions (14) being on an inner circumferential side of the vortex chamber (13). The casing (1) is further provided with a buffer material (4) disposed on one of the faced surfaces of the liner portions (14) and the impeller (2).
