Abstract:
Disclosed is a rearview mirror having a sleepiness prevention function, which is installed in a rearview mirror case having a speaker, a microphone and a half mirror, the rearview mirror comprising a control unit for determining drowsy driving by determining the period of blinking of the driver's eyelids via a video taken by a face detection camera of which the imaging direction is set toward the half mirror to image the driver's face, wherein if it is determined that the driver is driving drowsily, the control unit induces the driver's active reaction by sending out a caution sound to the driver through the speaker until the driver's reaction voice in response to the caution sound matches a predetermined voice pattern, thereby preventing big accidents caused by drowsy driving.
